FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 75-32 WHICH
AMENDED CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES
OF SAID CITY BY AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
AS TO THE ISSUANCE OF PARKING P~RMITS, THE FEE FOR
PARKING PER~/IITS. TILE REISSUANCE O~ PAP~ING PERMITS,
AND THE ISSUANCE OF TFtVfPORARY PAi~KING PE~ITS;
PROV~ING FOR AU~ORITY TO CODIFY, SAVINGS CLAUSE,
REPEAL~G PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR
OTHER PU~OSES.
VYHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
deems it necessary and advisable to provide for additional regulations as
to the issuance of parking permits, the fee for parking permits, the
reissuance of parking permit, and the issuance of temporary parking perm_its
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I~ ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ~OYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 75-32 which amended Section
19-38, ~ of Ct~apter 19 of ~he Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton
Beach, lortda, be and is hereby amended by modifying Policy No. 1 entitled
"Parking Permits" to read as follows:
'!Parking permits will be issued to residents (see "Defiraitions")
of the City of Boyntoh Beach, for a charge of $1.00 for the
first decal issued to a resident vehicle, upon satisfactory
completion of appropriate application forms. Applicants will
be required to establish proof of residency in the City of
Boynton ]Beach (see ~'Definitinns' ) and to present his official
state motor vehicle tag registration certificate.'
"When application is made for more than one permit, each
separate iD~dividual vehicle registration must be presented.
Residents having out-of-state registered vehicles or whose
Florida registration shows an out-of-city address, may
establish proof of their residency by suitable means, including
the presentation of city ts~ bills, utility bills, rent receipts,
driver's license, voter's registration card or other appropriate
proof of residency. -
"Permanent beach parking decals shall be issued only to
residents owning real estate and/or residing in the City for
at least sL~ months of each year. In all other cases, temporary
parking permits shall be issued to residents at a charge of $1.00.
Proof of six months residency shall be established via lease
agreements, rent receipts, or written lessor verification."
"In the event that a. decal, which has been issued to a
resident ~ehic,le, is lost or destroyed, a new decal SAall
be :reissaed to the said resident vehdcle for a charge of
$1; 00 provided-that remains of the original decal bearing
the number areturned in at tl~e time of reissuance. However,
if remains of the original decal bearing the number thereof
are not turned in, a charge of $5~ O0 Shall be required for
the reissuance of a new decal."

l~es~dent: Anyone o~rn~ng real estate and/or leasing, renting
or occup~.g real estate or living accommodations within She
City of Boynton t~each for a time period of at least six cons:ecutive
months each calendar year, as well as members of their immediate
family ~esiding with t~em. '
V~_sltor: Paying guests at hotels and motels located
within ]~oynton Beach and guests staying in ]~oynton Beach
with residents thereof."
"City Employees. All city employees, classified and
noDclassified, regardless of residency shall be eligible to
receive a parking permit. ]Proof of employment shall be
established thorough the Personnel Department of the City.
Persons who terminate their employment with the City and
who are not City residents shall be required to scrape off
their s,tickers and return remains to issuing office,"
Section 2: Section 3 of Ordinemce 75-32 which amended Section 19-38.
of Chapter 19 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynion Beach, Florid~
be and is hereby further amended by modifying ]Policy No. 3 entitled
Temporary Parking ]Permits" zo read as follows:
Temporary parking permits will he issu.ed by the City of
t~oynton Beach in accordance with P~)licy Nos. 1 and 2."
-1Residents: Residents who do not own property and who lease,
rent, or occupy living accomodations for less than six months
of each year shall be issued a temporary parking permit for a
charge of $1.00 which shall be valid 'for a msuximum period of
six months from the date the permit is issued."
Visitors:
Guests staying with residents shall be issued a temporary
parking permit az a charge of $1.00. Such pemits shall
b,e valid for a maximum time period of four consecutive
weeks.
Faying guests at hotels and motels shall be issued motel
guest verification permits by the motel manager or his
designee upon presentation of said form at the beach
entrance station. Said guesi shati be charged $. 25
per day."

"The original copy of the peri-nit will be given lo the applicanl

Sect_ion 3. Auiihori_ ty to Codify: Specific aathority is hereby granted
to codify and incorporale this Ordinance in the City's exisling Code.
Section 4. Separability:. Each of the provisions of this Ordinance
are separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any
portion thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not
be affected but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. Repealing !~rowisions. All ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. _An Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective
in the manner and at the tirme provided in Cae Charter and Ordinances of
Cae City of Boyaton Beach, Florida.
