AN ORDIN'ANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, CREATING THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT
CiTY ATTORNEY; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO
CODIFY; SAVINGS CLAUSE REPEALING PROVISIONS,
AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHER. EAS, the City Council of the City of BoyntonBeach, Florida,
has deemed it necessary and advisable to create the position of Assistant
City Attorney; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED ]BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA.
Section 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Seclinn 23 of lhe Charier
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, there is hereby created the
umclassified position of Assistant City Attorne~ said position to be filled
by appointment by the City Council, with said officer lo serve at the pleasure
of the City Council. Any person appointed lo the position of Assistant City
Attorney shall be duly licensed and authorized to practice law within the
State of Florida.
Section 2: Auth~ty to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance are
separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion
thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected
but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provisions: All ordinances ¢ parts of ordinances
in conflict herewit/~_ are hereby repealed.
Section 5: An Effective Date: This Ordinance sh~ become effective
in the manner and at the time provided in the Charter .d Ordinances of
theCCity of Boynton Beach, Florida.
