The Mayor listed the following items that needed immedia, te considera-
tion by the City Council and asked if the Council wished to go ~nto
a Special Meeting:
i. Award bid on T~affic Signals.
2. Resolution 67-T- results o~ vote on pension plan.
S. Ordinance 67-i6 (ist Reading) re~arding fipinq
and/or discharging of ~uns: etc.
Mir. Nylund moved that the Council go into Special Session. Motion
seconded by Mr. Wo~rell and unanimously ea~ied.
Meeting called to orde~ at 7:58 P.M.
AWARD OF BID ON TRAFFIC SIGNALS
The mayor read the recommendation of the tabulating committee in which
they suggested the award be made to Control Specialists based on their
low bid oC $2~678.00~ A~ter a lengthy discussion Mr. Nylund moved to
award the bid to Control Specialists. Motion seconded by Mr. Collins,
and carried 4 to 1. (Mr. Summers abstained therefore is counted with
the majority.)
RESOLUTION 67-T
Mr. H~mphr~y ~ead Resolution 67-T declaring the results of the Special
Referendum Election held September 26, 1967 ~egarding the Employee
Pension Plan. Certified copy to be sent to the Secretary of State
in accordance with Sec. i00.S51 o~ the Florida State Statutes. Mr,
Summers moved that Resolution 67-T be adopted as read. Motion sec-
onded by M~. Nylund and unanimously carried.
ORDINANCE 67-16
Mr, Humphrey read Ordinance 67-16 in its entirety amendinq Sec. 17-49
of the Code o~ Ordinances regarding ~iring and/or discharging.of guns~
etc. P~. Summers mOved that Ordinance 67-16 be approved on flrst
