AMENDING SECTION 66 OF ARTICLE IV OF THE MUNICIPAL
CHARTER OF SAID CITY TO CLARIFY THE ~iEANING OF
"PUBLIC RECORDS" AND TO ADD SECTIONS 66.1 AND 66.2
TO PROVIDE, RESPECTIVELY, FOR A DEFINITION OF
"PUBLIC RECORDS" AND FOR DELIVERY OF SUCH "PUBLIC
RECORDS" TO THE CIT~ CLERK ~IT~IN TEN DAYS AFTER
F' PROVIDING FURTHER FOR SAVINGS
RECEIPT THEREO ,
CLAUSE, ~pE~iLING PROVISIONS, AUTHORTTY .TO-
CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES-
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 119 of the Florida StatuteS,
all public records as defined in said chapter are required to
be delivered to the designated custodian of a municipality; and
WHEREAS, under the Munlcipal Charter of the City of
Boynton Beach, the City Clerk of said City is designated as the
custodian of all public records of said City; and
WHEREAS, a "Central Files" has heretofore been establishe~
by said City for the storing and maintaining of such public
records of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
deems it essential and appropriate for the efficient daily
operation of the municipal government of said City to require
that all such public records of the City be delivered to the
City Clerk as such custodian within ten days after receipt of
such public records for the placing thereof in the said
"Central Files'~-
NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY cOUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Section 66 of Article IV of the
Municipal Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereb5
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 66. Same--Duties of clerk.
It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to attend all
meetings of the City Council, and to keep a correct
minute of all their proceedings, in a book kept for
that purpose; the City Clerk shall be the custodian
of papers, books.and public records of the City and
of the seal of the city, and shall attest and a~fix
the seal of the city on all instrumentS and documents

Section 3: That Ar,%icle IV of the Municipal Charter of
the Cit~ of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and is hereby amended

"Sec. 66.2. Same--Delivery of public records to city cteri.
