AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BO~NTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, A~AIDING SECTION 2-4.8 OF CP~A~TER 2 %~
OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, ES-
TABLISHING A REVISED MUNICIPAL PERSONNEL AND
EQUIPMENT TABLE OF ORGANIZATION; PROVTDING
FURTHER-FOR A SAVINGS'CLAUSE, REPEALING PRO-
~ISIGNS, AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFfeCtIVE
DATEj AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS~ the C~ty Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, deems it essential and in keeping with basic management
principles that a professional organizational chart providing for
the highest degree of efficiency with regard to utilization of
municipal personnel and equipment, providing for delegation of
authority, span of control, homogeneous assignment, lateral
coordination and the grouping of related functions be established
and adopted for the efficient accomplishment of all municipal
functions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has heretofore
established and adopted a personnel and equipment organizational
chart for said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared and furnished to
the City Council s revised
the above criteria; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of

is deemed essential in order to provide for the efficient daily
operation of the municipal goverrument;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That pursuant to the Charter and the Ordinances
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, in such cases made and
provided, the organizational chart attached hereto and made a
part hereof is hereby established and adopted as the personnel
and equipment organizational chart for the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida.

Section 2:
Ordinance a~e separable, including wor~, clause, phrase,
sentence, and if any portions thereof shall be declared
the remaining portions shall not be affected, but shall
in full force and effect.
Section 3: REPEALING PROVISIONS:
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: AUTHORITY TOCCODIFY: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the
City's existing Code.
Section 5: EFFECTIVE DATE~ This Ordinance shall become
effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
