AN ORDINANCE OF THE~CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 2~4.8 OF C~APTER 2 OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF SAID~ CITY, ESTABLISHING A REVISED ~
MuNIcIPALiPERSONNE~ AND EOUIPMENT TABLE OF~ORGANIZA
TION; PROVIDING FURTHER F~R a SAVINGS CLAd~E, REPEALING
PROVISIONS, AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND
FOR OTHEH~PURPOSES.
WHEP~AS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Elorida, deems it essential and in keeping ~ith basic management
orinciples that a professional organizational chart providing for
highest degree of efficiency with regard to utilization of
personnel and equipment, providing for delegation of
spRn of control, homogeneous assignment, lateral
ion and the grouping of related functions be established
and adopted for the efficient accomplishment of all municipal
functions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has heretofore
sstablished and adopted a personnel and equipment organizational
chart for said City; and
~HEREA~ the City Manager has prepared and furnished to
the City Council a revised table of organization which meets the
above criteria; and
WHEREAS~, the adoption of the subject organizational chart
is deemed essential in order to provide for the efficient daily
operation of the municipal government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That pursuant'to the Charter and the Ordinances'
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, in such cases made and
provided, the organizational chart attached hereto and made a
part hereof is hereby established and adopted as the personnel
and equipment organizational chart for the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida.
Section '2. SEPARABILITY: Each of the provisions of this
Drdinance are separable, including word~ clause, phrase~ or
sentencer ~nd if any portions thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remainlng pQrtions shall not be affected, but shall remain
in full force and effect,
Senti'on3. RE?E~LING PROVISIONS: All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith ~are hereby repealed.
Sect~ion 4. ~UTHORITY TO CODIFY: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the
City's e~ting Code,
Section 5. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall become
effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
