A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMmiSSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENDORSING THE CANDIDACY OF THE HONORABLE
CLARENCE E. ANTHONY, MAYOR OF SOUTH BAY,
FLORIDA AND CURRENTLY SECOND VICE
PRESIDENT OF THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES
FOR THE OFFICE OF FIRST VICE PRESIDENT OF
THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES.
WHEREAS, Clarence E. Anthony has served as Mayor for the
City of South Bay for the past nine years; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Anth0Dy has iQng been involved in numerous
leadership Positions in the Pa:tm Beach County Municipal
League, the National League of Cities, and the Florida League
of Cities; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Anthony is a candidate for the office of
First Vice President for the Florida League of Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Mayor Clarence E. Anthony's candidacy for
the office of First Vice President of the Florida League of
Cities is hereby strongly supported. Mayor Anthony's
positive!, dynamic leaderShip abilities would be a credit to
the State of Florida, South Florida and all cities in Palm
Beach County.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this Resolution upon passage to the Florida
League of Cities and members of the Florida League of Cities
Board of Directors.
