The Mayo~ advised the Council that the Ci.t~. insurance.~exist~in~q~ .c?ve.~-
age ended the last day of June. ~ asked if ~he Counc~ v;ou~ ±,_.~e ~o
go ~to special session at this time and award the bids on the mn-
surance ~o~ the coming year.
Mm. Nylund moved to go into special session for said purpose. Motion
~econded by Mr. Summers and unanimously carried.
111e c!e~k ~ead the tabulation as attached hereto notin9 the low bid
in each category-
Mr. Courtney brought to the attention of the Council that it could
very possibly be to the advantage o~ the City to award the auto
liability to the Ray Allen Insurance Company since he was low bidder
on Comprehensive General Liability and he ~e!t it would be mu~h
easier ~om an administrative sta~dpoJant if the same company handled
the entire paekage. Mr. Holloway~ of State Famm Lnsu~ance Company
was in the audience and s~ated that he agreed with Mr. Courtney's
measoning.
Mr. Worrell moved to awamd it~ms one thru six to the Ray Allen
Insurance Agency. Motion seconded by ¥~. Su~ers and carried 4-1.
Mayo~ Michael voted no because he ~elt item 3 should be awamded to
the low bidder.
Mr. Wo~ell moved to award items 7 and 8 to Harvey Oyer Ir~surance
Company. Motion seconded by Mr. Nylund and unani~aous!y earmied.
