The meeting c~l]ed according to the Charter for the purpose of holding
the first readir~ on OrcLinauces adopting the 1965-66 Budget, was called to
order by Mayor Mahoney.
i~. Kain read Ordinance ~,-65-3~ adopting the budget for the 1965-66
fiscal year and setting appropriations.
1~. Boos moved that Ordinance 65-38 be passed from first ~o second
reading. ~4~. Archie seconded. Motion carried ~-O. ~yor l~ahoney asked
that the record show that ~. Banks could not attend the meeting as he had
m~de previous engagements ~hich he could not alter, however, he had
indicated that he was in favor of the 8 mill budget before he left.
Mr. KaLu read Ordinance 63-39 which fixed the tax rate and levied taxes
for the support of the municipal goverr~ent. }~. Archie moved that
Ordinance 65-39 be passed from first to second reading, l~r. Mmdsen seconded.
~Mtion carried ~-O. Second reading for the two budEet ordinances was set
for September 2~, 1965.
