Mayor Mahoney called the meeting to order at 10:07 AoMo as a
special meeting at the request of the City Attorney.
Mr. Moore advised the Council that Mr. Klatt, through his
attorney, had requested 'the abandonment of another thirty-foot
roadway in Lcreage Section 29/20. The City Attorney read Reso-
lution 65-P abandoning that thirty-foot roadway running northward
from Old Boynton Road West to the Boynton Canal, lying between
Lot 79 and Lots 82 through 93 inclusive on the west and Parcel
and Lots 68 ~hrough 98 inclusive on the east. Mr. Archie moved
that Resolut!on 65-P be adopted. Motion seconded by Mr° Madsen
and carried ~-O.
The City Attorney reviewed the facts re the Swank cases and
recommended settlement at $~,000 as proposed by Mr. Swank's
attorney. Motion made by Mr. Madsen to accept the attorney's
recommendation and authorize payment of $~,OO0 in full settle-
m nt of all pending litigation in subject cases. Motion seconded
by Mr. Archie and carried--40.
Mr. Moore read the request of Mr. Hubert Aiken, owner of Lot ll,
Benson Brothers S/~ to have subject property annexed to the City
of Boynton Beach contingent upon property being zoned to allow
a trailer pa~k or in the alternative a condominium or co-operat~e
apartment complex~ Ordinance 65-10 declaring the intent of the
City to annex subject parceI was read granting said zoning. Mr.
Madsen moved the adoption of Ordinance 6~-10. Motion seconded
by Mr. Boos and carried ~-0.
Mr. Archie reported that the offer made by the City to the Palm
Beach County School Board of the site for a vocational school
was well received by the members of the Board and the County
School Superintendent.
