Minutes 03-27-65MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL HELD IN CITY HALL, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ~RCH 27, 1965, AT 11:20 A.M. PRESENT: Jf~lES J. MAHONEY, MAYOR WALTER A. PADG~TT~ CITY CLERK Mayor Mahoney called the meeting to order at 11:30 AoM. The City Attorney read Ordinance 65-2 by title only declaring intention to annex Lots 38 end 58, Trade Winds Estates to the City of Boynton Beach with subject tract being zoned C-1 to authorize use of property for bag renovation operation. Mr. Archie moved that Ordinance 65 2~ be adopted on second and final reading. Motion seconded by Mr. Madsen and unanimously carried. Ordinance 65-3 was read by title by Mr. Moore which expressed inten~ to annex the Dyer trac~ located in Acreage Sections 9.and 16 with designated zoning of C-1 and C-2. Mr. Archie moved the adoption of Ordinance 65-3. Motion seconded by Mr~ Madsen and unanimously carried. Mr. Moore read the ~itie only of Ordinance 65-4 declaring the intent of the City to annex a city owned tract as ~eco~ded in West Boynton Plat 2B and 2C with R-2 zoning. Mr. Archme moved that Ordinance 65-~ be adopted on second and final reading. Motion seconded by Mr. Boos and unanimously carried. The City Attorney read Ordinance 65-5 by caption only declaring intent to annex the Malcolm tract located in Palm Beach Farms Company Plat_No. 8~ zoned C-2~ Mr. Madsen moved the adoption of Ordinance 65 5. Motion seconded by Mr. Banks and unanimously carried. Mr. Archie brought to the attention of the Council the twenty acre trac~ of lanc owned by the Cmty ~n Acreage Sect~o~ 5 and sugg s%ed that it be offered to the School Bgard for a VocabmOnal~'School smte. Motion made by Mr. Boos t? make said offer to the Palm Beach County School Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Banks and unanimously carried. Mayor Mahoney invited all members of Council, the City Attorney and C$ty Manager to attend the School Board.meeting Wednesday evenmn~, March 31st at which time Mr. ArChme as spokes- man ~ould present the above mentioned proposal. The City Manager was directed to p~ep~v~ th~ ~ps of the area and cover letter. MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL MARCH 27, 196~, at 11:30 ¥~. Boos suggested that the City Manager check into the county owned property in Acreage Section 5 within our City boundaries. Mr~ Banks made a motion that the City Manager contact Bob Rose ~ · e determine if ~y of his vacant proDerty located in Acreag Section 33-45 43 was available to the City.
