J~ Ross James gave the invocation, to the flag led by the ~. ~adsen moved the minutes of spool.al meeting held November l§th be accepted. Er. Banks seconded the motion ~hich carried unanimously. ~. BarZms moved that the minutes of regular meeting of Nove.mber 18tn be approved. ~r. ~ahoney secondea the mormon wnmch carrmed. Eayor A~chie abstained from the voting as he did not attend the meeting. Vote ~-0~ The City Clerk read the report from the Election Board on the results of the general election held on December 8rd, M~r. Summers moved theft the CoUncil accept the report and that a copy of the report be attached to and made a part of the minutes~ ~r. Banks seconded. ~otion carried unanimouslT. ~r. Banks moved that the Council declare ~Lv. Archie ~r. ~ahoney officially elected to serve as counciime~ for the City of Boynton Beach for the coming two years~ t~o ~adsen seconded the motion which carried unan%~mously. ~r. ~dsen moved that the minutes reflect that there were certain differences in the manner in which the write-in ~o~es were wrztten and that all were counted,.but that this not be mnterpreted to mean that Council was establishzng a precedent for future tabula- tions of elections. Nr. Summa_ers seconded the motion which carried unanimously° Under new business, Item A(1) concerning correspondence from Coral Ridge Properties re ~ Lots ~9 & 4~, Dewey's S/D, was held over at the suggestion of the City ~anagero Letters of appreciation to the Council from the Soroptimist Club, Honorable Lake~ytal a~d the Band Booster'~ Club were read into the record by the City Clerk. Attorney Madison F. Pacetti, representing Mr. Joe Harless owner of Lots ~.. l0 amd ll of Block ~, Eoberts ~ldition, requested the Co~cil to reestablish an alley lying between Blocks i and ~ Roberts ~lditio~, which was abandoned in~'196io After discussion, it was decided tO turn the matter over to Mr. Moore to work with M~, Pace~ti who agme-ed to.co,tact the other property, owners~af~ected to see if ~hey would be willing to:rededicate a portion of tnezr properti6s'for am alley. ~der A~_~i~nistrative, ~r. Er, Summers seconded. Mo2ion carried unafl~ously. Mr. Madsen moved that the Building Departme~ Eepo~t be ac6epted. Mr, Banks seconded. Motion carriad unanimously, Mr. Mahon~y ~oved that the City Manager contact the Einisterial Asso~ation ~nd give them the go ahead on erecting sign in the parking lot ~ust west of the City Hall. Mr, Banks seconded the motion which carried unanimousl~o ~r. Eadsen brought to the attention of Council a request by P~ul ~ohns~n zor the.Council to reconsider the or%mnance re- muirlng mrink~ng establishments to close at 3:00 a,m~ ~l Council- ~en agreed that they would not be in favor of repealing the ordinance and reaf£irm~d their earlier stand on this matter. Er. Henderson called to the attention of Council a letter he had received from Bumby & Stimpson regarding the location o£ electrical cs~nections at the lift,stations. The letter stated than an additional cost of locating bhem underground in the resi- dential areas would be as follows: 28~.80 ~395.10 Lift Station #lA~& CS. Regarding a cost plus item at lift station lA&for the t ~ change o smngle phase N~. Nahoney suggested that this be turned over to the engineers for their reco~endations.
