This meeting ~vas called to order by Mayor Archie at 7:30 p.m. Invoca- tion by Rev. Charles 'Wood, Christian Missionary Alliance Church followed by Pledge of Allegzance to the Flag. Minutes of Regular Meeting of August 19 and Special Meeting of September 3rd were approved upon motion by Mr. Madsen: seconded by Mr. Mahoney and unanimously carried with one addition (Par. 4, P. 1 -Aug, 19th meeting add "Mr. Mahoney" moved---) In reference to the request of Paul Johnson re night club license, Mayor Archie advised that letters are on file in opposition to the granting of the request, from the Minister of First Presbyterian Chur ch and the Ministerial Association. Inasmuch as Councilman Summers was not present this request will be held over until next meeting. ~gal: The City Attorney read Ordinauce 63-25 by caption only regarding paving assessment NE 6th Ave. between NW 1st & NE 3rd Streets. Mr. Mahoney moved the adoption on second ~d final reading of ~dinance 63-Z5, seconded by ~r. Ba~s and unanimously carried. In regard to parking of trailers in residential areas, Mr. Charles Byron, attorney representing Mr. & Mrs. Junnier stated they have a trailer parked in the rear of their home, and that before purchasing it called City Hall to see if they could park a trailer at their residence. They were advised that at that time there were no restrictions. Mr. Moors stated the new proposed Ordinance 63-Z9 supplements the emergency ordinance and he then read proposed Ordinance 63-Z9 on first reading. Mr. Banks moved the adoption of Ordinance 63-Z9 on Erst reading passed zo second reading. Motion seconded by Mr. 1VLahoney and unanimously carried. -Z- The City Attorney then read proposed Ordinance 63-30 regarding presence of minors in billiard parlors. l~ir. Madsen moved that Ordinance 63-30 be passed from first to second reading, seconded by Mr. Mahoney and unanimously carried. Ba~s and u~nimously carried. 3kdminist rative: The City Manager requested permission to advertise for bids on the following: 1) aa, ir Conditioning for Civic Center and Shuffleboard Bldgs; Z) Remodel- ing Casino Bathhouse; 3) City Jail; .4) Two Police Cars; 5).Motorcycle; 6) Validating and receipting machine; ?} calculator. Mr. lvladsen moved that the reqt~est of Mr. Henderson to go out for bid on the above rnentioned items, be graigted. Motion seconded by Mr o Mahoney and unanimously carried.
