CITY CI.F.R.K This meeting ~vas called to order by Mayor ~krchie at 7:30 p.m. primarily for the purpose of holding a public budget hearing, on proposed Budget for 1963-64. The ~/iayor reviewed the preliminary budget report and there ~as l~ttle comment from the aud{ence. It is anticipated that the mi~a~e will be reduced 1/Z milt. On the beverage license request by l~ublix Super Market, Mr. Mahoney moved that the request be granted for beverage license at 550 SE 15th _avenue subject to final inspection. IViotion seconded by A/Ir. -Summers and motion carried 4-0. Mr. Banks abstained° l~r. Af~ahoney moved that the bill from the auditors in the amount of $555,00 be paid, seconded by l~r. Summers and ananimously carried. The City ~kttorney read pr'ol~sed Ordinance 63-28 covering election campazgn conduct. h/ir, Madsen moved the adoption of Ordinance 63-28, seconded by Mr. Mahoney and unanimously carried, _after a review of a Supreme Court ruling in regard to trailers parked in municipalities ~ 1V~r, 1V~oore, City i~ttorney, advised that he felt the Emergency Ordinance passed at last meeting would be strengthened if it ~as ~rned a~er the ~keland case ~hich ~as trie~ by Supreme Court, ~r. ~omey moved t~t the City ~anager be instructed, in compliance with emergency ord~ce regarding tr~lers: to noilly tho ~rty in question that she ~11 be given an ad~tional ten days to ~o ye the trailer fro~ the property. ~otion seconded by ~r. Summers an~ u~animoasly carried. Mayor Archie requested Mr. Moore to furnish copies of proposed trailer ordinance to Council prior zo next meeting.
