Edythe Haod~ Cterkfrom the South PrecLuct~ road her report~ Total votes cast - 421 - of which 132 were fsr the Bill and 289 were against the Bill. Y~s. Mareella Prov~nee, Clerk from the North Preeinct~ read her report; Total votes caa~ - 53~ - of which 123 were for the Bill-and ~12 were against the Bill. A motion made by Mr. Summers to accept the clerk's reports was seconded by Waiter Madsen amd carried unanimously-. The Deputy Clerk read the Total re-cap of votes: North South Total For the Act 123 132 Against 412 289 701 Total ~ 2-~ ~ (Above count includes absentee ballots) Mr-. S~rmmers suggested Vince Wray as an additional candidat~ for the Inter-racial Committee as Mrs. Hood had reported that Mr. John ~van might not be available after 3 or 4 months. There was a discussion - no action was taken. The City Manager opened and read bids for water billing cards as follows: Bo-Dell Printing R. L. Motion seconded by Mr. Madsen and oarriedunanimou~ty~ City Attorney road the proposed Resolution 63-I~ which was being discussed when Mm. Banks arrived about 9:30 a.m. Mayor Archie Suggested the Re~otution be re-~ea~fo~ ~-~. Banks' benefit, Mr.~mers m~ved the ResOlution be adopted, Motion died for lack of a Secem~d~ Mr. Madsen requested {t be tabled until the nexv regular Council meeting. City Attorney read pro~es~d Resmolution 63-JJ om abandon- ing the 12' easement on lets 6 ~ 9 and lots 8 & 97 block ~ Forest Hills. Mr~ Summers move8 Resolution $~-JJ be adopted. Motion seconded by Mr~ Madsen amd carried 3-0. Mr, Banks abstained. City Mane'get recommended that Rubin Constructio~ pave the ~est end of the City Hall lot~ corner of Seacrest Bl~d, and N. E. 2nd A~e, at a fi~e less than $3~00 in anticmpation of the hazardous condition existing when the sewer line is laid on Seacreat Blvd. The paving of thio lot~ill enable adequate Post OFfice parking. Mr~ Madaen moved the City Manager's recommendation be accepted. Motion seconded by ~r~ Banks and unanimously carried. M~. S~mmers brought to the attention of the Council an incident that h~p~ened at the Sh~ffle Board Club when visitors wanted to use the facilities and were told they would have ye join the club.
