This meeting was called to order by Mayor Arch-lo at 7:30 p.m.
Flag Salute was led by Councilman l~ladsen followed by Invocation given
by Rev. I{alph Hughes. l{ev. Hughes also represented the I{iwanis Club.
Mr. Madsen moved, seconded by Mr. Ivlahoney that Minutes be
accepted as corrected (change numbers of Resolutions from 63-X, Y & Z
to 63-A, ~ & BB respectively). Motion carried u_n~nirnously.,
Mr..Henderson read the recommendations of the committee on
awarding insarance bids as follows:

Mr. Mahoney moved that insurance be awarded as recommended by the
Committee with the exception of %Vork~ens~ Compensation which will be tabled
for two weeks, seconded by Mr. Summers anal u~animously carried.
New Business:
A letter from City Manager of West Palm Beach was read by City
Clerk in which he invited the Mayor and Councilmen to attend a rneeting re-
garding FEC right-of-way.
A letter from Boynton Beach Jaycees was read by City Clerk thanking

Council for their cooperation %vith~e soap box derby and also requesting
donation for purchase of bond, use of the bleachers and insurance coverage.

Lake Addition from l~la to t{-B for mmltiple dwellings, 1vir. Pipes appeared
before the conncil and explained his plans.
The 1VIinutes of the, t~lanning Board were read and i~4r. k4ahoney
moved that the above request for re-zoning be held in Nover~ber before the
Planning and Zoning Board as recommended by the Board. k4otion seconded
by ~!r. k4adsen.
i~ir. $~mmers moved to table the above motion and requested that
the l~lanning Board give a definite ans~ver for or against this request. There
was no second to the tabling motion a~d action thereby revezted back to
original rnc~ion which carried unanimously.

carried.

auditing books of City, of Boynton~Beach subject to proposal as submi~ted.

The City 1V/anager announced that the City is working with the County
to clear canals in Golf View Harbor 0
The City IVL~nager reperted/aa answer to a petition requesl~ug additional
bus service. ~k feasib/lity study has been made and the survey revealed it was
not feasible at this time. He stated that ~he bus service in Lwke ~rorth had not
been practical s~ud was being discon~nued due to the fact it had cost 3 times
as much as the receipts.
