Allison Banks. Mr. Madsen moved that the Minutes of June 3rd meeting be accepted as written, seconded by Mr. Summers and motion carried 4-(1, Mr. Banks abstained ir~smuch as he did not attend the meeting. Mr. Madsen moved that the City donate $1t0.00 (the same as last year) to send Little League Queen to New York. Motion seconded by. Mr. Mahoney and unanimously carried. Mrs. William Wohlleb representing Jaycee-errs and Ralph Bogle representing I<_iwanis were introduced by the Ma~or. Legal: The City ~ttorney read by Caption1Ordinance 63-19 regarding rezoning Lots 1 thru 5 and E 44* of Lot 6, Blk 11, Central Park Annex, Mr. Mahoney moved Ordinance 63-19 be passed on second and final reading, seconded by Mr.' Madsen and unanimously carried. The City Altorney read Resolat~on 63-V declaring acreage areas ~o be nuisances (17 parcels). Mr. Summers moved that Resolution 63-V be adopted, seconded by Mr. Mahoney and tmamimously carried. The City Attorney read proposed Resolution 63-W regarding State Road ~9. 1VLr. /viahoney moved that Resolution 63-W be adopted and that a copy be sent to the Governor, State Road Dept. Washington D. C. inasmuch as the County has already issued a resolution. -Z- Motion seconded by Air. Bank~ and unanimously carried. Mr. IViadsen moved that maintenance of air conditioning be removed from the table, seconded by Mr. Ivlahoney and unanimously carried. Air~ Summers n~oved that the City not go out for yearly maintenance co~racts for all air conditioning traits except City Hall, seconded by Air. lviahoney and unanimously carried. City Clerk.instructed to ~d letter to bidders notifying them of this action. -3- lviayor ~rchie announced that Public Hearing has been deferred until July ist rneet~ug on zoning requests and sewer 'pro~ct. Public '~udience: /V~rs o l~ary Flook, 1008 SE ~th St. requested the City to check ~nto the traffic hazard at Uo S. ~1 g~ SE 1Zth Ave. inasrn~ch as u~dergrowth in the islands on U. S, ~1 is obstructing the view.' A petition %~ith over 100 signatures was received requesting bus transportatioh frozn Boynton Beach ~to Be~sda H~spital, ~a Shop~ng T~s ite~ was turned over to City ~anag~r for~ report at the ne~ r egul~r - ~eeting. Legal: (Gent.) City ~ttorney read proposed t~esolution 63-~in regard to extension of sewer ex, pansion at V~oodcrest 1V~anor. 1V~r. Banks moved that l~esolution 63 ~'%e adopted, seconded by Mr~ Mahoney and u~muimously carried. The City Attorney read proposed Ordinance 63~Z1 an emergency ordinance regarding assault on police officers. i~r'; l~ahoney moved that Ordinance ~63-Z1 he adopted as an emergency ordin~ce. M~ion seconded by Mr. Ba~s ~d ~an[~ously carried, The City Attorney read proposed Ordins~uce 63-ZZ regarding keeping of livestock and poultry from running at lage. lVir. Madsen moved that Ordinance 63-Z2 be passed as an emergency ordinance. Motion seconded by Mr. Summers a~d una~%imously ca~rried. A letter of appreciation from Dr. Hewitt of ~loreida Gift Shop was read in which he commended the Police Department. ~A letter fror~_ Judge Durkin was referred to by Mayor ~rchie in which he also commended the Police Department. Mr o 1V~ahoney moved that a contract for fire protection for the City of Ocean Ridge be drawn t~p on the basis of $6,000. per year charge and farther that the /viayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign and forward to Ocean Ridge and that 30 days be allo~ved for f&rst payment and second payment due on December 1st. Motion seconded by A/ir. Summers and ar~nimous!y carried. Mr ~ B~ moved that the reqmest of lViul~ Sloan be ~granted to apply amount paid for cemetery lot in 1949 toward purchase of a lot ' ~n]Sara Sims cemetery, ,st~bje~ct-to'~eceipt of a letter fr. om him requesting it. iv~otion seconded by IV~ro Madsen and tmanimously carried. l~r.
