Upon motion by Mr. Summers, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, Minutes of l{egular Meeting, May Z0th and Special Meeting., l~lay ZTth were approved as written. Mot{on carried unanimously. A letter from K. H. Wilson: Chief lkeal Estate Branch: P. O. -Depart- menu indicated the p~t office department would not purchase or leas ~ additional land for parking facilities. The Mayor reported on a plan for SZ additional parking spaces and a plan to throe-lane Seacrest Blvd. and S~cond in the vicinity of the post office. Mr. Mahoney moved that the plan as presented by Mr. Henderson to Council regarding proposed traffic routing and parking facilities in the vicinity of the post office, proceed immediately. Mr. Madsen seconded the motion which carried unanimously. Mr. Madsen secondod with the stipulation that ~there be an entrance and exit off Seacrest. It %vas revealed by a letter from the Florida Archery. Association that their State Tournament be held in Boy.ton Beach during the month of March or -a~p~il 1964. The event will attract approximately 400 participan~ ~l~e Mayor was commended for his efforts in obtaining this activity for the City. The bids were opened on the Call for Tenders for $29,000. on the 1946 and 1949 issues of refunding bonds. The only bid received was from the First Baptist Church, %~est l~lrn Beach on the t949 isstze of Bonds nun]bering 16:17 & 18 ~ 99 l/Z; interest coupon ~Z8 collectible J~y.l~ 1963. ~ts were drm~n for the re~aining $Z6~000. ~s renews: ~Z8, 537, ~61, ~7Z, 53~, 35,~1ZI, 685.~06, 96, 398, &62, ~38~,105~ 555, 363, ~5~ 453: &17, 379, 687, ~03~ 471, Z~, &73 and it2. ~r. ~adsen moved that the above bond numbers b~ retired and authorize necessary advertising. ~otion secon~e~ by ~r. One bid was opened for maintenance of City owned air conditioners, Hadley~s l{e~frigerat~on hid as follows: City Hall, $35.00; City garage, $8.00; Civic Center, $9.00; Police Station, $i1.00; Library, $14.00, making a total of $77.00 montly charge.
