This meeting was called primarily for the purpose of discussing
changes in the Master Zoning Plan.
The City Attorney read Ordinance 63-17 authorizing construction
of multiple family d~veltings in C-t and/or C-Z areas.
At the public hearing there wvere no objectors present or objections
in ~vr iting.
Mr. Mahoney moved that Ordim~ance 63-17 he passed to second read-
ing. lVlotion seconded by ivir. Madsen and unanimously carried.
Air. Plank Thompson made inquiry as to wvhether ~or not he could take
out permit on t~vo-story-6 apartment building before second reading of
Ordinance 63-17 and ~vas .informed by ~he City Attorney that he xvould prefer
the ordinance be read the second time; if the ordinance should be found To be
invalid the liability v~ould be assumed by.the applicant and not the city.
lVIrs. Stevens, l~esident of the Chamber of Commerce, appeared be-
fore council in regard to a Birthdayrparty for Boynton Beach. She s~ggested
an old fashioned bar-b-que at the:beach. She asked for assistance from the
~ecreation Dept. and that tke city c0~t~ib~e funds to make ~his possible.
She suggested th~ City match the funds of the Chamber ~hich are available
because of cancellation of bea~y q~oon contest.

Mr. lVladsen moved that the request of Russell and _axon for one
additional insp~ctx~r for the server program be granted, seconded by lV~r. Mahoney
and tmanimously carried.
The City Manager requested permission to advertise for tenders £or
redemption of refunding bonds of 1946 and 1949.
iV~r. Mahoney moved that the City Mmuager be ~uthorized to
for redemption of bonds of 19~6 an~ 19~9 in the a~ount of $Z9~000.

Mr. S~mmers mdved that Clarence ]~eery be authorized to act as
consultant for th~ City.,Manager for preparing specifications for [nst~rance bids.
Mr. I~ahoney' moved that the Personnel Officer be permitted to
attend Florida ~ssociation of_Civil Service and Personnel ~kgencies Conference
carried.
}~ir. Mahoney moved that the City go out for bid for monthly rnaint~nanc:e
agreement to maintain air conditioners at all city owned property. Motion
seconded by tVi~. Summers and unanimously carried.

Chambers by Square Dancing Club. Council granted permission to Mrs. Joyce
I~isonero~for use of the Council Chambers.

Mr. Stummersmoved the above bills be paid, seconded by Mr.
Mahoney and unaDimo~sly carrie~f
A/ir. Mahoney moved that a resolution of condolence be prepared to
send to the family of ~Valter Lalley, seconded by Mr. Stunners and unanimously
carried.
Mr. Summers brought up for discussion, the construction work on
a filling station for Mr. Couture being constructed by Young smd Waldie,
A/ir. Henderson and Mr, Moore were instructed ~o feller; through regarding
suspension of this ~vork.
