R17-109 3 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 5 FLORIDA, APPROVE UTILIZING NATIONAL JOINT POWERS 6 ALLIANCE (NJPA) EZIQC CONTRACT #FLO2GC1-051716-JCL 7 WITH JOHNSON-LAUX CONSTRUCTION LLC., OF ORLANDO, 8 FLORIDA FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF 9 MODIFICATIONS TO THE UTILITY ADMINISTRATION 10 BUILDING FOR A NOT TO EXCEED PRICE OF $250,000; 11 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A PROPOSAL 12 AND DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK WITH JOHNSON-LAUX 13 CONSTRUCTION LLC.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE 14 DATE. 15 16 WHEREAS, City staff has confirmed that NJPA's procurement process satisfies 17 the City's competitive bid requirements; and 18 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, it is the City's desire to utilize the 19 National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) EZIQC Contract #FLO2GC 1-051716-JCL with 20 Johnson-Laux Construction LLC of Orlando, FL for design and construction of 21 modifications to the Utility Administration Building for a not to exceed price of$250,000. 22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 23 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 24 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed 25 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon 26 adoption. 27 Section 2.
