R18 -002 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN DOCUMENTS RELATED TO PROCUREMENT ISSUES IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASE ORDER SIGNATURE AUTHORITY OF LESS THAN $25,000 FOR NON - CONSTRUCTION AND $75,000 FOR CONSTRUCTION RELATED ITEMS SUBJECT TO LEGAL REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City's procurement policy authorizes the City Manager to approve purchases up to $25,000 for Personal Property, Commodities and Services (non - construction) and up to $75,000 for Construction without City Commission approval; and WHEREAS, the policy does not address the City Manager's authority to sign related documents for these purchases (i.e. maintenance agreements, vendor agreements, etc.); and WHEREAS, the authorization for the City Manager to sign documents related to these procurement items will enhance the efficiency of procuring items where the vendor has a document that needs to be signed once it has been reviewed and approved by legal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign documents, subject to legal review and approval, related to procurement issues in accordance with purchase order signature authority of less than $25,000 for non - construction and $75,000 for construction related items.
