The Special Meeting, called by the Mayor for the purpose of
giving final approval to Gordon Park Plat, was called to order at
12:05 P.M. with four Councilmen present.
Two letters of acceptance of the streets and water lines
were read. ~ne letters were signed by Henry Lunsford of the
Street Department and Joh~ Jo~uston of the Water Department.
~. Madsen moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign the plat.
Mr. Oyer seconded the motion which passed unanimously,
After considerable discussion the Council requested the
Mayor to v~ite Nr. Roberts, President of Florida Public Utilities
COo regarding the unsatisfactory handling of gas line installation
by Burnup & Sims.
A letter from Lake Worth Drainage District to the Florida
power anSLight Co. was read. Mr. Madsen moved that the City as-
sure the Florida Power and Light tb~t the City of Boynton Beach
would stand the expense of relocating poles if it becomes neces-
sary upon six months notice by the Lake ~orth Drainage District.
The motion w as seconded by Mr. 0yet and unanimously passed.
The Chamber of Commerce bill for the month of October was
discussed at length. The City Clerk was instructed to have
Mr. Webb come up and explain some of the items that date back into
the early months of
