A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING A~ CONFIrmING THE APPOINTMENT
BY CITY ~NAGER J. SCOTT MILLER, OF
THOMAS M. DETTMAN AS CHIEF OF POLICE OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA; AND
PROVIDING ~N EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, due to the departure of Chief of Police, EdWard G.
Hillery, Jr., a vacancy has been created; and
WHEREAS, according to the Charter of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida all officers of the City shall be appointed by the
City Manager, subject to the confirmation by the City Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, has recommended than Thomas M. Dettman be appointed as
Chief of Police of the City of Boynton Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF iBOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT.
Section I. The City Co~TLission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida hereby approves and confirms the appointment of
THO~S M. DETTF~N, as Chief of Police of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida.
Section 2.
upon passage.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately
