Present Gerald Broening, Mayor Ronald Weiland, Vice Hayor Hike Ferguson, Commissioner Charlie Fisher, Commissioner Hack HcCray, Commissioner Kurt Bressner, City Manager James Cherof, City Attorney Janet Prainito~ City Clerk Call to Order City Manager Bressner began the agenda review at 4:00 p.m. He informed the Commission that purchase contracts have been consolidated with bids under the Consent portion of the agenda. V.B. 3. Overview of Presentation on "Operation Lifesaver," conducted by Carisse Weise~ City Manager's Office, and Pam Webb, Risk Management Department Commissioner IVlcCray requested that the word "paraphernalia" used in the agenda request form be changed. V:LB.4. Award a one-year contract (with two one-year renewal options) to The Urban Group, [nc. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida for Real Estate Administrator Services in response to RFQ #075-2413- 01/KR (proposed Resolution No. R01-283~ City Hanager Bressner said that staff has negotiated a proposal with the Real Estate Administrator for both the City and CRA land acquisition. V~.B.7. Approve an agreement with Maxim Health Systems LLC for dispensing flu shots at the Senior Center (Proposed Resolution No. R01-286) Commissioner McCray suggested that the City advertise that these shots are available. VI.B,8, Approve agreement with BAE Systems ADR ThC. for the updating of planimetric base mapping features throughout portions of the City and utilities service area, and furnishing digital orthophotography based upon Iow altitude photography for the CRA area only; by piggy-backing Palm Beach County Contract No. R2001-1523, dated September 11, 2001. Total project cost is $229,065 (Proposed Resolution No. R01-287) Meeting Minutes Agenda Preview Conference Boynton Beach, Florida November 1, 2001 City Attorney Cherof said that there has been a problem 'n enforcing any noise ordinance through the courts because the standard of proof has been so difficult and technical. x/'r.c. 1. Proposed Resolution No. R01-297 Re: Urging the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation to initiate and support the creation of an independent Special District for the purpose of acquisition and maintenance of Greenways in Greater Boynton Beach Region of South Palm Beach County Commissioner Ferguson requested that the proposed resolution be amended to include Delray Beach. · Miscellaneous Commissioner Fisher requested that a discussion of the Congress Avenue corridor study be added to future agenda items. Vice Mayor Weiland asked if there was a license agreement being prepared for 905 Railroad Avenue. Assistant City Manager Sugerman replied that a revised copy is in the Commissioners' mailboxes. Vice Mayor Weiland asked regarding the status of hiring staff and a director for the CRA. City Manager Bressner responded that he has asked them to postpone the hiring.
