Martin Durkin, Vice Mayor Harvey 0yet Mort Partin James J. Eahoney. City Clerk D.V.Wil!iams The Mayor called the meeting to order ~ 7.30 ~.M. Mr. Durkin moved the transfer of libor license from Er. and Mrs. Joseph Thibault F01d Dutch Mill) to Harbor Beach~u~, Inc., be granted. ~gr. Oyer se~ nded. Motion carried. ~. Weaver spoke on the Industrial Park ~oject, aud said Mr. Anderson of the Brockway Company suggests one 8" i'nstead of two 8" water lines. It was agreed the matter should be further discussed as to the cost c~ t he differ~ ence between th~ two plans, and Mr. We~ er said he would go to M~. 0yer,s office tomorrow morning for this purpose. ~. Howell spoke at gre~ length outlining his sugges- tions on na~u~al gas for the City. He said the Coun~ 1 should do something one way or the other before May 1st next, as nothing can be done afterwards in the matter of obh~ ning ~n allocation of gas; if the City gets an ~llocation they can either operate it themselves or give a franchise. He was informed the City Attorney is applying to the Federal Power Co~ission in Washing$~n for an allocation. Mr. Oyer moved the City Clerk be ten City bonds @ 9~ plus interest° Motion carried. authorised to buy Mr. Partin seconded. The City Clerk said the Scobee Eun~al Home wants to knOw if a lot in the cemete~c~ be purchased for the burial of five cremains of one family. ~fter discussion, Mr. 0yet moved the City Clerk be auth~ised to inform the 8cobee Funderal Home the City will allow the burial of five cremains of one f~ily in one lot. Mr. Partin seconded. Motion carried. it was agreed that in ~ture applications of this nature should be referred to the Cemetery Board for final ~uling. Regarding a ~aster Plan for the City, it was decided to ask Nr. Cmrew to come to a Council meeting on Wednesday after- noon to explain his plan. There was a discussion on replacements needed for clerks in City Hall. ~ Oyer spoke of the land on Ocean Avenue belon$ ng to his aunt, Mrs. Ethel Pierce, and said she would like the City to have it. The pric~, however, of $20,000.00 is more, it was agreed,than the City can afford to pay at th~mome~t,. desirable as it would be for the City to own it. There was discussion on the need for an ~ppraisal fo~ the present City Hall property. Mr. O~er recommended Nr. Anderson of West Palm Beach as an appraiser.
