The meeting was celled to order at 2:00 P.M. by
Mayor L, S. Chaswelt.
Several of the councilmen hsd been informed that negotia-
tiens were underway by outside interests to purchase for
us? as a cemetery~ property owned by~the county but
lymng within the city limits of Boynton Beach. Mr, Durkin
moved and Mr. Oyer seconded the mo~ion that the Palm
Beach County Commission be notified that the City of
Boynton Beach is opposed to the sale or leese or grent-
Lug or any other disoosal of any property owned by
the County within t~e confines of the C~ity of Boynton
Beach without formal notification in advance to the said
city of Boynton Beach. The motion was passed by an
unamious vote,
The question of obtaining Royal palms for use on the new
city hall ~grounds for the cost of moving was discussed.
It w~s noted that the palms must be moved within the
next ~ew days. Mr. 0yer moved, seconded By Mr, Durkin~
that Mrs. BoSworth be thanked for her interest in offer-
ing the trees to the City~ but declined to accept the
trees due to the cost and the time limit and the im-
practicability of locating them on the city hall grounds
wh~ile construction islunder way. It was suggested in
the motion that Mrs. Bosworth offer the trees to the
C~unty Board of~ublic Instruction for use on the grouds
of the new junior high school. The motion passed by
unamious vote.
