A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT A PROPOSAL FROM
PROSPERITY DREDGING COMPANY IN THE ~OUNT
OF $49,465 AND TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
PROSPERITY DREDGING COMPANY CONTINGENT
UPONRECEIPT OF THE D.N.R. SUBMERGED LAND
EASEMENT OR RECEIPT OF AN EMERGENCY
PE~IT FROM D.N.R. ALLOWING WORK TO
PROCEED; AND PROVIDING ANEFFECTiVE DATE.
WHEREAS, this project was initiated to resolve severe
navigation Prolktems of boaters exiting our boat ramps and
attempting to reach the Intracoastal channel; and
wkrEREAS, Palm Beach CountF has recently awarded a bid to
dredge ~icha~nel for Inlet Park which is directly across from
our park site and our dredgin~ project to Prosperity Dredging
Company; and
WI{EREAS, it is anticipated that substantial
mobili~ation/demobilization costs would be saved by utilizing
the County bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T~E CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA T~AT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beack, Florida, upon recommendation of staff, hereby
authorizes and directs the ~ayor and City Clerk to accept the
proposal and execute a contract with Prosperity Dredging
Company, contingent upon receipt of the D.N.R. submerged land
easement or receipt of an emergency permit from DoN.R.
allowing the work to proceed.
Section 2. This Resolution
