A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
SUPPORTING A GRANT APPLICATION OF PALM
BEACH COUNTY FOR A SHORE PROTECTION
PROJECT IN OCEAN RIDGE AND REQUESTING THE
STATE LEGISLATURE TO PROVIDE GRANT
FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT°
WHEREAS, The Ocean Ridge Shore Protection Project has
been submitted to the State Leqislature for funding; and
WHEREAS, the Beach Re-Nourishment Project includes our
public beach, Oceanfront Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH~ CITY COMMISSION OF
THE C~TY OF BoYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA, THAT.
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida does hereby support the grant application of
Palm Beach County for a Shore Protection Project in Ocean
Ridge~ and urges the State Legislature to provide grant
funding of $1,875,000 for the project.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beachz Florida hereby directs the City Clerk to provide a copy
of this Resolution, upon passage, to the Governor of the State
of Florida and the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation.
