AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (A), (B) AND (C) OF SECTION 13-39
OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY,
INCREASING THE COLLECTION: CHARGES FOR PICKING UP
GARBAGE, TRASH, WEEDS AND OTHER REFUSE; PROVIDING FOR
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PRO-
VISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTONBEACH, FLORIDA.:
Section 1: That Subsections (A), (B) and (C) of
Section 13-39 of Chapter 13 of the Codified Ordinances of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and are hereby amended to
read as follows:
"(A)~C°mmercial-C°ntainerized-Excluding ~amity~tLnits.
(a) Single user, $1.50 per cubic yard. Charges to be
based on container size and frequency of collection.
(b) Removal charges for mechanically compressed refuse
shall be computed at 3 to 1. (Containers furnished
by owner.)
(c)
Two or more places of business using a single con-
tainer shall be assessed charges in the amount Of
$1.50 per cubic yard, and shall be charged on pro-
rated basis according to level of service. Any
joint user generating one cubic yard or less per
month, shall be charged minimum fee of $6.00
monthly.
(B) Non-containerized commercial.
(a)
Refuse picked up from bins shall be charged at a
rate of $4.50 per cubic yard, (non-compacted measure).
Small businesses generating one cubic yard per
month or less, $6.00 per month.
(b)
Refuse picked up from residential type cans shall be
charged at the rate of 9.7~ per can or 3 1~ per cubic
yard. ·
Level of service shall be negotiated by the refuse
collection service department. Minimum of $6.00
per month shall be charged for 1 can or 3 cubic
feet picked wp 2 times per week, and additi6nal
charge of 74~ per month shall be made for each
pickup in excess thereof.
(C) Residential rates.
(a) $3.00 per month for single family dwelling.
(b) $3.00 per month for each family unit duplex or triplex.
(c) $3.00 per month for each family unit for apartments
and condominiums.

Each of the provisions of
this Ordinance are Separable, including Word, clause, phrase or
2e, and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remainmng portion shall not be affected but Shall remain in
full fOrce and effect.
Section 4. Repealing ~roviqlons:
Ail ordinances or
parts of ordinances in Conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5t An Effective Date~.. This Ordinance shall
become effective in the manner and at the time provided in the
Charter and Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
