The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7.30 P.M.
The minutes of the p~evious meeting ~No~e~Ber 8th
were read.
Mr. Weaver said it was Mr. Wood who said two Rights of
Way were proposed.
Mr. DeMarco moved that with the above correction the
minutes be accepted. Mr. Reyburg seconded. Motion passed.
A petition dated November 15th, signed by thirteen names,
was read, objecting to the new ball field arrangements on
N.W, 2nd Avenue.
Mayor ~eaver explained that the City has no other piece
of proper~y large enough for the ball field they wish to build.
One lady objected to the ball field being within fou~ feet
of h~r lot line. She asked whose orders ~. Lunsford was
following as there seemed to be two plans.
One man objected because he said people using the ball
f~ield would overflow on to all adjacent private driveways, etc.
One man asked what steps were being taken to make the land
a park and to avoid making it unattractive.
Another objector said the Little Leaguers would not respect
the lawns and shrubbery of surrounding residences.
Mr. Weaver said Mr. Rehburg had volunteered to go out at
9 A.M. tomorrow to investigate the various points raised, snd
probably other Commissioners would also gO.
After a long discussion one of the o~Jectors ~greed that a
temporary injunction would be held up if the City wil~ meet them
in the matter of parking on their streets.

Referring to Pence Pa~k, the Mayor explained that this is
to be used as a practice field and also for possible further
tennis courts.' It is specified to be used as a playground and,
if not s~ used, the Pence family can take it away from the City.
He assu~ed those present that if the new ball field looks as
if it is too close to homes, the City will see what can be done.
Mr. Patrick DeVasto objected to the amount of his tax bill
as he thought consideration should be given to the fact that
his street,- ~W. 7th,- is not paved and they have no fire plu~,
which means 25% more for fire insurance, and no street lights.
He asked for a dead end sign at the end of the street.
Mr. DeMaP¢o moved that all owners of property in the
vicinity be contacted~,about donating lard for a 50' R/W, and be
informed as to the plans cf the ~City. M~, Partin seconded.
Motion carried.
Mr. Fornaby requested about six_lights in his subdivision,-
"Westehester Heights",- and was asked to make a request to the
City Hall, stating his willingness to pay one year electricity
cost in a~vance, and he will be put on the list.
Mr. Fornaby drew attehtion to the speeding ca~s on 23rd
Avenue. The Chief Of Police was, asked to see about this.
Regarding the zoning in his subdivision, Mr. Fornaby was
asked to communicate with the Planning Board.
Mr. DeMarco-moved that Arthur Coe,s request for a beer
and wine license to take out only for 909 North Federal
be granted. Mr, Rehburg seconded. Motion ca,tied.

Mr. Grifftth read Ordinance No,290 covering a franoh~se /
for a taxi cab service in the City, for the first time.
Mr. DeMa~co moved that Ordinance No.290 be adopted for the
first reading. Mr. Rehburg seconded. Motion carried.
Mr, DeMarco moved that Mr. Wallace be given a license for
two cabs. Mr. Partin seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. Griffith read an o~dinance for the control of automobile
trailers, but left it to be looked ove~ before adoption. It was
agreed to discuss it at the next meeting.
Mr. Griffith read an ordinance covering real estate
advertising signs.
Mr. Griffith read a Resolution covering the supply of water
by the City to churches, organisations, etc.
N~. DeMarco moved, Mr. Partin seconded, that the Resolution
be adopted. Motion carried.

Mr. Partin moved that Mr. Weaver be authorised to sign the
Quit'Clain Deed to the piece o£ property in Ocean Ridge, 107 feet
along the Canal by 40? ft. deep. Mr. DeMarco seconded. Motion
carried.
This parcel was given to Ocean Ridge when the town split.
Ma. Griffith read G~dinance No.289 for the second time,
establishin~ a bulkhead lined
Mr. DeMarco moved that Ordinance No.289 be a~p~e~.for the
second reading. N~, Rehb~g seconded. Mo$ton carrie
Mr. G~iffith said Mr. Warren had asked him if his ~lat of
Seacr~st Eatates would be accepted with the addition of another
25 Ft.
Chie£ o~ Police Carver-s-read the report of the Police Depart-
ment for the month df ~tob~er. and also the annual report of the
Department for the year ended ~ctober
Monday evening at 7.30, at City Hall, was fixed for the
Executive meeting with the Boat Club, which had been requested
by them.
Tomorrow evening, at 7.15 P.M., the City Council will meet
to canvas the balleting.
There being no ftu~ther business, the Mayor adjourned the
meeting at ll.18 P.M.
