The Nayor called the meeting to

~ir. Graham Ruston, of Russell & Axton, Engineers of
Daytona Beach, said his firm would like to investigate and
give andestizmate on a sewerage system for Boynton Beach, and
also on any water problems. His associate, Mr. Larrymore,
was a~o present. They said Lantana and Lake Worth are working
together in the matter of a sewerage system.
The Mayor asked them to leave their loc~ address with
City Hall and said Nr. Rehburg will contact them some time later
in the week and have a preliminary discussion on the matter,
after Which an executive meeting of the Council ca~ be called
to discuss it further.
THe City Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting
of the Co~ncil of June ~.
Mr.Sho~k moved, Mr. Rehburg seconded, that the minutes
be accepted as read. Motion carried.
A "Thank you" card was read from the P.T.A~ o~ Poinciana
elementary school for the beautiful trees received from the
City by the school.
A letter wasread, signed by Mr. aud Nfs. W.M.Ferris and
eleven other residents of Coquina Cove requesting the clearance
of certain lots and trimming of trees.
It was agreed ~hat trees obstructing the view at inter-
sections should be trimmed. N~. Taylor was asked to use his
ow~ discretion as to trimming other trees.
A letter was read from the Board of County Commissioners
signed by Ha~ry A. Johnston, County Attorney, stating that no
County-owned land in Boynton Beach will be sold until the
Council has been fully advised.
The report of the Fire Department for the month of May
~as read.
A letter was read from the Royal Palm Village Property
Owners' Association regarding traffic on the Highway.
A letter from the State Road Department in answer to a
letter written requesting a flashing light on'the Highway,
~s~sn~g~sted by the Boyal Palm Village PONA letter, was read.
A letter was read from the First Presbyterian Church,
signed by the Pastor, the Rev. R. Keith Love aud several other
residents~ on Seacr~st Boulevard, requesting street lights
at the corners oF 8th and 7th Avenues.
Two letters were read from two Engineering Companies of
Mia~i regarding water treatment.
In connection with the Habel property, Mr. Grzff_th' ~ said
he had entered sui~ for $800.00 against the o~ers for expenses
to the City for removing the debris.
Regarding the Bulkhead line for Lake Worth, the Mayor said
~ meeting will be held here on Friday at ~aich the County's
deas might be taken up.
~gr. Rehburg was asked to contact Mr.L~an regarding the
removal of muck and marl in connection with the small boat
launching site to the ball park.
After discussion on ~aving o~ parking lots on the Highm~y
the general pzumon was that the present0rdinance remain as it
stands, but each case to be tsken up for considerattoh, as it
oo~s up.
The following Resolution was read:
On business places~ already established, sixty days should
be gm~en from the time the Highway is completed in front of
their places of business.
Nr~ Griffith read Ordinance 28~ for the first time,
amencling Ordinance 208.
The Ordinance was held up for ~mendment.
Mr. Griffith read ~mergency Ordinance 288 covering control
of motor vehicles in Boynton Bea6h, amending Ordinance 21~.
Nr. Rehb~rg moved, Nr. Partin s~conded, that Ordinance B85
be passe8 as an Emergency 0rdinance~ Notion carried.
· ~rmIfmtn read a Resolution covering an assessmen~ roll,
which will be published June B1 and ~8 and July 8.
~r. Rehburg moved, Nr. Shook seconded, that the Resolution
be adopted. ~otion carried.

July 9, at 4 P.~. was agreed on as the date of the meeting
at which possible objections to the assessments will be he~rd.
Nr. Griffith was asked to obtain sa~ples of ordinances
from other Cities which can be studied before getting the Planning
and Zoning Boards to work out something in connection with
requirements for new subdivisions.
Nr. Ray Zompa asked for a donation from the City for fire-
works for July 4o
After discussion, Nr. Shook moved, Nr. Partin seconded,
that the City c~ntribute $300 towards fireworks for the celebra-
tion of July 4. Notion carried.
Nr. Province read the report
covering the expenditure of funds

of the Chamber of Commerce
for publicity for the year
The Chamber was asked to v~ite to the Drainage Department
asking for a place for a sign advertising Boynton Beach on
the turnpike~
N~. P~ovlnce outlined in detail the plans the Chamber is
making for the coming year.
Nr. Bud Grace spoke of the Little League and the Pony
League at Pence
The Nayor thanked him for the good work he is putting in.
A resident of Rolling Green Ridge said he wauts to build a
carport and driveway, but finds a d~ain in the way.
Nr. Shook moved that Nr. Taylor work out the problem
with him. Nr. Partin seconded. Notion carried.
~r. Taylor was asked to get prices on concrete street
markers.
Thsre being no further business, the ~ayor adjourned
the meeting at 10.55 P.N.
