Mayor Shook called the meeting to order at 7.30 P.M.
A~plications for licenses were received as follows:-
Beer and Wine from Mon Plaisir Restaurant.
Beer from Armitage Bar-B-Cue and Steal{House
Beer from Duffy's Restaurant.
Ra~neow Room (Beverage)
A transfer of license was requested from the ~ ~ -
from Moray zo Banyan Tree Inc.
Mr. Hood moved that these ap~!ications ell be granted. Mr.
Deem seconded. Motion carried.
City C~e_~ Dorothy V.Wi!!iams read the minutes of the last
meeting of October ~,
Mr. Weaver said the contract with Tesea Chemical was to be
am~roved by the City Attorney~ and not dra-~n by him as sta~ed in
the minutes.
He also said the reference to street lights on Ocean Avenue
and !st Ave.~ should be let Street and Ocean Avenue.
Mr, Weaver moved~ Mr. Hood seconded~ that the minutes be
eceeoted with the above amendments. ~,o~ion carried.
A letter was read from Mr. Robert McDonatd~ Chairman of the
OTA Halloween Carnival Committee requesting the use of the mark
oonosite the school for the cetebration~ and a ~olice escort for
the oarade in the esrly efternooh.
in a discussion of pony rides during the celebration~ it was
decided that this would do no harm if restricted to the lots Just
ourehased.
Mr. Hood moved that the recuest of the C8rn~ai Committee be
granted~ and that arrangements in the ~afk be under the supervision
of Mr,'Christiansen. Mr~ Weaver seconded~ Motion carried.

· ~om the Town Council of Lantana covering
a Resolution asking Boynton Beach to participate in a orooosed
diversion of a part of the State gasoline tax to Communities for
streets.
Mr. Griffith said he understood from Co~smty Co~_missioner
Lytel that if the County allocated a larger share of the gasoline
tax to Communities~ the County might not be able to do so much work
on the roads as they do now~ as whatever oortion is allocated to
Municioalities would coma off the County's aooortiomment. He
thought the Resolution should read: "To be used on roads other
than County".
The metier was tabled for further discussion and examination
before ony~ action is taken.

regarding the condition of certain streets in colored tow~.
Mr. Christiansen said the roads referred to have already been
graded.
Mr. Griff~th remsrked relative to occupational licenses on
the Highway and mein streets~ that incidents are bound to arise~ and
such businesses as are not classified could be brought uo before
~l~y Council; ~n~ the Zoning Board could be asked to make a
ms~ of what would and what would not be acceotable. For the time
being the matter could be left as it is.
The City Clerk read two bids on toilets for the jail, one
from Mr. Whitman for $2~6.00~ and one from. Ocean City BLum~ing
Comnsny for $365.00.
Mr. Christiansen said he would like mo look into the matter of
cost and could oerhans get a better orice.
Mr. DeMarco thought that since the City is exoanding so ra~id-
ly. a half track with a bucket should be ourchased~ as it will ney

In a discussion on the width of streets~ Mt.Weaver thought
minimum requirement should be large enough to take care of future
traffic,
Mr. DeMarco moved that ell future streets in the City~
excluding oresent commitments: be 22.f~et in ¥idthl to be made
with a base of pit rook and rolled wmtn a minmmum 8-ton roller;
shell rock streets to be discontinued M~ Deen ~e~ded.
