The regular meeting of the Commission of the City of Boynton Beach was held on November ~ 19~7 at the City Hall at the hour of 2:00 P.M. Present were: F.L. Purinton, Mayor B. V. 2attersall~ Vice Mayor C. Benson, City Clerk The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. The Minutes of the last meeting were approved and signed by the Commissioners. Mr. H. Merkel appeared before the Commission with a plat of "Harbor Estates", being a subdivision of the South 330' of the North 660' of Government Lot 3, East of U. S. Highway #l~ Section 22 - Twp. ~ S Range $3 E. The Commission accepted this plat to be filed with the C~uuty. The following bills were ordered paid: James Murph Parker R. Ward E. L. Purinton ~nd seconded by B. V. Tattersall, the monthly salary of the Chief of ?olice'was raised to $250.00 per month, the oosition of Lieutenant was established at a salary of $225.00 p~r-month, the salary of Patrolman to remain at $200.O0 per month. The motion was carried. The Commission Rgreed to certify to the Palm Beach Resources Development Board the names of three men'bto be suggested by Mr. C. O. Miller as members of that Board from Boynton. The Commission agreed to offer property owned by the City in Section 33 at $100o00 per acre in large parcels - all offers subject to the approval of the Commission. Mr. Tattersall, with the consent of the other Commissioners~ asked that a letter be written to Mr. A. V. Peterson reminding him of his failure to settle his obligation to the City of Boynton Beach . A motion was made by F. L. Murinton that a charge of $2.00 per month for six months be placed on the water or electric bills~ said charge to help defray the cost of the clean-up after the hurricane. Mr. Tsttersall stated he was against any su~n charge~ Mr. Benson stated he did not care to vote at this time but felt that the money used should be reolaced in some manner. The Commission agreed that ~util such time as the Ordinance on Occu- pational licenses can be revised to take care of additional classification the Drive-In restaurants shall pay $25.00 per year~ also they approved the charge o2 $2~.O0 for out-of-town Dry cleaning pick up and delivery service. The meeting was recessed until such time as it will be reopened by the Mayor. Present were: F. L. Purinton - Mayor B, V. Tattersall- Vice Mayor C. Benson - City Clerk reopened on November 6th The Commissioners authorized the issuance of beer and wine licenses to Carl & Jet=hie Weborg~ GeSrge Laurel and W.K. & P,F. Harouff. Applications tabled for further investigation were the Florieda, Roy Twedt and Mainstuck-Purcaro. The City Attorney, Mr. C. L. McCoy~ appeared-before the Commission at their request with a liquor ordinance'ammending Ordinance #160. ~Ehe ordinance - numbered # 204~ was read in full by Mr. McCoy and cussion by the Commission was read again. The Mayor ~n emergency existed and moved the irunediate adoption of the ordinance which ordinance is to beoome effective on its passage and .~dOP?iOn. Themotion was seconded by Mr. Tattersall and all the Commissioners voted in the affirmative. Such ordinance was then duly passed and adopted.
