A motion was made by ~y~. Hood, seconded by Mr. Woolbright
mad ~maaminously carried that the City pay one half of the cost of
dmmage to car of ~r. A.D. Shipplett, caused by palm tree over-hanging
into street a distance of four feet.
~{rs. Ella Adams presented a reqnest/~or upkeep and new
tennis courts, to be included in the 1949 City Budget.
Letter frOm Nowlin and Adams, Delray Beach, Flao,
garding vacating of Palm Pay, was read. The Mayor ~md City Clerk
were instructed to execute, and have the following Resolution
recorded:

WITHIN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS that certzin street named PALM WAY, according
to the plat of Shepard,s Sub-Division of Lots 13~ 14 and 15
of Smm Brown Jr.,s Sub-division of the south~half of fractiCnal
Section 15, Towmiship 45, South, Rmuge 43 East, accorSing to the
plat thereof recorded in Pla~ Book 8, at page 8 in theo~zfmce'
of the clerk of the Circuit Court in mud for Palm Beach County,
Florida, has never been used by the public, and it appearing
that the adjoining property owners are .desirous of havmng* the
smme vacated and have given their consent thereto and have by
Quit Claim Deed conveyed certain property in the city of Boynton
Beach to be used as a street right-of-way which will make the
property concerned in said plat more accessible and useable,
NO~~ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the authorities aforesai8

and that same is hereby released to the adjoining property owners

months interest on the Refunding Bond Issue of October 1, 1948

The Minutes of the meeting of the Zoning Board~ held
at the City Hall February 23rd, i949~ were read. The City Council
acceDtedltheir recommendation as follows: The property in

to defray expenses to the State Basketball Tournamen~ to be
held in Niami.~ . Notion was made sand carried that the City donate
to the Am~rmoan Legion fifty dollars for the first day and
twenty-five dollars for each day thereafter in the Tournament~
The City Clerk was instructed to send~ letters to prospective
buyers of City owned propertylinforming them that a down payment
of at least 10% of purchase price w~ld be required a~ud no~ less
thsau 10% payment payable 1st of each month thereafte~ bearing
8% interest ~ -
