Minutes 04-18-49MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tm CITY OF BOYhW~0N BEACH, FLORIDA, HELD AT THE CITY HALL 0N THE 18TH DAY OF APRIL 1949. The City Council convened at a regula~ meeting at the City Hall, at 7:30 P.M., April 18th., 1949. Councilmen P~eeant: Mr. F. L. Purinton, Mayor Mr. A. E. Shook Mr. C. H. Hood Mr. W. T. Woolbright M~. Ralph Ross The meeting was called to order by Mayor Purinton. Minutes of the regular mest%ng of April 4th., 1949 were read and adopted. Motion was made by Mr. Ross, seconded by Mr. Hood and unaminously cazTied, that the City of Boynton Beach write an agreement with the Town of Gulf Stream as per ~ntative agreement whereby the City of Boynton Beach will furnish fire protection to-the Town of Gulf Stream. (Chev) Farmers Implement Supply (Ford) for new garbage truck were opened and read $2449.00 2388.30 2270.36 2395.00 Notion was made by Mr. Wool~ight, seconded by Mr. Hood and'unamlnously carried, that the City of Boynton Beach accept the lowest bid and place order with Twin City Chevrolet, !nc. Motion was made by Mr. Ross, seconded by Mr. Rood and unaminously carried, that City accept ten2alive bid from Farmers Implement Supply Co. I - Set of Duals complete on rear i - Utility Blade Exchange on fr~t wheels & tires from 400 X 19 to 600 X 18 amounting to ~417.90 for Ford Tractor. The City Clerk was instructed to notify Ocean Ridge of the many complaints of garbage blowing off the truck in route to City Dump. Notifying same that a protective screen or covering be placed over garbage when in the City Limits of Boynton Beach. A Petition relative to County construction of a new road to the new consolidated school was read. Following discussion it was agreed to write Cc~nty School Board and Co~nty Commission requesting the said petition be complied with. It was agreed by all Councilmen to give authority to the Water Dept. to secure 6 inch pipe necessary replace wa~er main on Ocean Ave. in Casa Loma Subdivision.
