A RESOLUTION OF THE CiTY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
.RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO THE
1992/93 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
RATIFIED BY THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND
POLICE LIEUTENANTS FRATERNAL ORDER OF
POLICE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and Police
Lieutenants Fraternal Order of Police, both ratified a Collective
~rgaining Agreement, approved by Resolution No. R92~186, dated
t6ber 8, 1~92; and

WHEREAS~ the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
the 22~d day of October, 1992, granted a
2% cost-of-living
effective October 1, 1992, and a 2% salary
ch 1, 1993, for all employees covered under
International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify an amendment to
the o'ollee~ive bargaining agreement to make salary increases
consistent with tho~ granted to general employees.
NO~. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY D~oyNToN BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, ~lorfda, hereby ratifies and authorizes and directs the
Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Addendum to the 1992/93
Ag~eemen~ between the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and Police
Lieutenants Fraternal Order of Police, attached hereto as Exhibit
Section 2.

This Resolution shall take effect immediately

ADDENDUM TO 1992/93 AGREEMENT
BETWEEN CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND POLICE LIEUTENANTS
FRATERND~ ORDER OF POLICE
THIS ADDENDUM entered into, by and between the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA and POLICE LIEUTENANTS FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE,
W I TNE SSETH:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA (hereinafter
referred to as "Employer") and Police Lieutenants Fraternal Order
of Police (hereinafter referred to as "FOP" or "Union") entered
into an Agreement approved by Resolution No. R92-186, dated October
8, 1992; and
WHEREAS,

Under ARTICLE 14 - RATE OF PAY
Section 1. Members in the bargaining unit will receive a
mathematical adjustment in the first pay period in March in order
to equal the 3.18% received by the International Brotherhood of
Firemen and Oilers (IBF&O) for the entire year. This adjustment
will equal 0.21%. Then on September 30, 1993, all members in the
bargaining unit will be adjusted to the full 4%.
NOW, THEREFORE, all items in the previous Agreement in
conflict with this Addendum shall be and are hereby changed to
confirm to this Addendum. All provisions not in conflict with this
aforementioned Addendum are still in effect and shall remain in
full force and effect as specified in the Agreement.
