R19-002 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA ASSESSING THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN NUISANCES AGAINST THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTIES INVOLVED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a contract vendor was requested by Community Standards to mow the lots, remove vegetation and board up structures on the properties, described in Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the owners of the parcel(s) of property hereinafter described were invoiced by the Finance Department in an effort to recoup these costs with no response; and WHEREAS, said nuisance was not abated as required; and, WHEREAS, all of the property owners listed in the attached Exhibit "A" were sent letters offering them an opportunity to remit within 30 days in order to avoid incurring a lien on their property; and WHEREAS, the City Manager or her authorized representative has made a report of costs actually incurred by the City and abatement of said nuisance as to the property(s) involved, which is described in Exhibit "A" attached to this Resolution; and WHEREAS, upon passage of this Resolution, the property owners will be furnished with a copy of this Resolution, and given one more opportunity to remit all costs associated with the abatement in full within 30 days of the passage of the Resolution, before transmittal to the County for recordation of Liens; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and incorporated by this reference. In the event collection proceedings are necessary, the property owner shall pay all costs of the proceedings, including reasonable attorneys fees. Section 3.
