A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE CITY'S RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR CAREER SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR
AMENDMENT TO RULE XI SECTION 13 REGARDING
PUBLIC ACCESS TO EMPLOYEES' PERSONNEL
FILE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach has
been advised by the City Attorney that Section 13 of Article XI of
the City's Rules and Regulations for Career Service is in conflict
with Chapter 119 Florida Statutes as it relates to the inspection
of employee personnel records; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to conform the Rule to
the requirement of state law; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has the authority to approve
amendments or revisions to the Rules pursuant to Rule XIV of the
Rules and Regulations of Career Service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1o Section 13 of Rule XI is hereby amended to
read as follows:

made in accordance with Florida State Statutes
Section 2.

This Resclution shall take effect immediately
