A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A CERTAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF PALM
BEACH COUNTY FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
PROGRAMS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida has deemed it to be in the best interest of the
citizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
to enter into an Agreement with the School Board of Palm Beach
County for vocational education programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON B~AcH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The ~ayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a certain Agreement between the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida and the School Board of Palm Beach
County, effective July 1, 1992 through June 30, 1993, a copy
of which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. That this Resolution

hereinafter referred to as the "AGENCY", and The School Board of
Palm Beach County hereinafter referred to as the 'PROVIDER" which
are the parties hereto. For and in consideration of the mutual

The PROVIDER will provide vocational education programs for
students of the AGENCY.

Provide a liaison for all vocational education activities
between the PROVIDER and the AGENCY.
Provide qualified and certified vocational instructors for
each COurse. Addendum A & B ~S hereby incorporated as
part of the agreement.
1, Whenever possible provide e qualified substitute
instructor in the case of absence of the regularly
assigned vocational instructor.
2. Require instructors to assume instructional
responsibility for students in their classes. .,
Share the achievement records of the assigned students in the
courses with the AGENCY.
Provide and prepare an instructional schedule for teachers and
students which will conform to the needs of both the PROVIDER
and the AGENCY.
Not discriminate against any students or employees because of
race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status,
or handicap.
Submi~ any vocational education repor=s as required by the
Florida Department of Education.
III.
The AGENCY A~rees
Provide a liaison to coordinate and supervise vocational
education activities between the PROVIDER and the AGENCY.
Provide the minimum number of eligible students ~o achieve and
maintain the required membership for .adh course as designated
by the PROVIDER.
Provide agency orientation for the PROVIDER'S vocational
instructional s~aff.

AGENCY,-SUPPLIED INSTRUCTION
_ CONTRACTED~SERVICES
The PROVIDER will salaries
at the rate of $1.15 per student contact hour for training
delivered by a certified AGENCY employee, for those AGENCIES having
a trainlng staff conducting in-house training.
The AGENCY AGrees to:
Provide a course outline for each course taught.
Provi~e].appropriate State Department of Education teacher
certification coverage for each instructor who teaches more
than 160 hours.
Provide=documentation for each class: student registration
form~ a~d ~ttendance rosters.
Provide evaluation of courses taught by AGENCY trainers upon
completion of each course.
Provide matriculation fees to the PROVIDER as set by the
Florida Legislature.
