RESOLUTION NO. R19-045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SIGN A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH PITNEY
BOWES, INC., FOR THE 60 MONTH LEASE OF MAIL
PROCESSING EQUIPMENT IN THE ANNUAL AMOUNT OF
$7,668.00; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City's existing five-year lease with Pitney Bowes expired in
February, 2019; and
WHEREAS, by leasing our own mailing system, the City maintains more control
over postage and it is more efficient to post the City's mail in the Clerk's office rather than
carrying the mail to the Post Office and waiting for it to be processed; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission does hereby
approve the City Manager to sign the Lease Agreement with Pitney Bowes, Inc., for the 60
month lease of mail processing equipment in the annual amount of $7,668.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
I THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
hereof.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves the City Manager sign the
Lease Agreement with Pitney Bowes, Inc for the 60 month lease of mail processing
equipment, in the annual amount of $7,668.00, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
«A,9
