AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
A~ENDI~G CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF
SAID CITY BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL SECTION 25-14 TO
REQUIRE THE INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE CONSTRUCTION HEREAFTER OF ANY BUILDING OR
STRUCTURE AND TO PAY THE COST FOR SUCH INSTALLATION;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, SAVINGS CLAUSE,
REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
Wt{EREAS, the City Council of the City of Bo!~nton Beach,
Florida, deems it necessary and advisable for the promotion and
protection of the health, safety and general welfare of the
community that sidewalks be constructed and installed in
conjunction with the construction hereafter of any building
or structure in accordance with the requirements of said City,
and that the cost for the installation of said sidewalks shall
be borne by the developers and/or property owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Chapter 25 of the Codified Ordinances of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby amended by adding
thereto an additional section to be numbered as S~ction 25-14
which shall read as follows:
'~Section 25-14. Sidewalk Installations.
In the construction of any building or structure
where sidewalks are not already in existence, sidewalks
shall be constructed and installed in conjunction with
the construction of any building or structure in
accordance with the requirements of the City."
Section 2: Authority to Codify: Specific authority ms
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the
City's existing code.
Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this
Ordinance are separable, including word, clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in
full force and effect.
Sect'ion 4~ Repealing provisions: Ail ordinances or
of ordinances ~n conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
