AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REVISING THE TWO F/P~ DISTRICTS OF SAID CITY BY
DELETING SUBSECTION 301.3 - "GENERAL" OF SECTI'ON
5-2 OF CHAPTER 5 AND BYADDING SECTION 12-18 TO
CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO COD FY,'SAVNGS cLAUSE,
REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR
OTHER PuRPosEs.
WHEREAS, the Fire Chief ef the City of Bo~lnton Beach, Florida, has here-
tofore recommended certain revisions as to the boundaries ef the two fire
districts of said City; an0
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed said proposed revisions and has
approved them without modification; and
WHEREAS, theCity Council deems said revisions to ae necessary and advis-
able for the safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT"f OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That subsection 301.1 entitled '~General" of Section 5-2 of
Chapter 5 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is
hereby repealed.
Section 2: That Chapter 12 of the Cc~tified Ordinances of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby amended by adding Section 12-18 which shall
read as follows:
"Section 12-18o Fire Districts.
There shall be established two fire districts, which shall be
known as the first and the second fire districts.
(a) The first fire district shall compFise t~e area bounded
on the east by North and South Fedarel Hi§.hway, on the
north by Northeast loth Avenue, on the west by North and
Sou~-h Seacrest Boulevard, ann on the soutA by Southeast
6t~ Avenue.
(b) Henceforth~ any area zoned industrial or Commercial, out-
side the above area, shall be considered a part of the
first fire district.
(c) All other areas shall be in the second fire district.'~
Section 3: Authority to Codify: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 4: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance are
separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion
thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portic~ shall not be affected
but shall remain 'n full force and effect.
Section 5: Repealin9 Provisions: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6: AN Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective in
the manner and at the time provided by law.
