A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO~ISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
SUPPORTING THE CONCEPT OF AMTRAK SERVICE
FROM JACKSONVILLE TO MIami ALONG THE
FLORIDA EAST COAST RAILWAY CORRIDOR;
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO SUBMIT
COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE COASTAL
MUNICIPALITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, THE
PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
TRi-RAIL AUTHORITY AND THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
9F THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA~ THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of
~oynton Beach, Florida strongly supports the concept of
~Trak service between Jacksonville and Miami along the east
~oast corridor of the FEC, connecting with West Palm Beach
~nd Tri-County Rail, and supports the efforts of the Florida
)epartment of Transportation to initiate such service as
soon as possible.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
~mmediately upon passage.
