Minutes 01-19-32REGUI~R ~MTING OF JAI~LTARY 19, 1932 A Reg~mlar Meeting of the Board of Town the Tov~n of Boynton, Florida was held at the Boynton~ Florida on Tuesday 7:~0 o'clock P. M. Present: The above evening, Co~missioners of Town Hall, January 19, 193~ at h. T. Hot!oway, Me,pr Frank Nutting, Vice ~ayor J. P. Bowen, Town Clerk constituting the entire Board of Commissioners of the Tov~n of Boynton, Florida. Tovm Attorney J. H. ~ds~s was present at this ~ eting. Minutes of the last Regular Neeting of January 5, 1932 being read were approved upon motion of Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Commissioner Holloway and duly carried. Minutes of the Soecial Meeting of January 8, 1932 were read and ordered corrected and brought up at the next Regular Ordinance #11~ came up on its second reading ~ud was duly adopted and passed upon motion of Co~aissioner Hol!oway, seconded by Cmmnissioner Bowen and duly carried and ordered posted on the door of the Town Hall. Co~missioner Holloway made a motion that, ~A Plan for Economy~, as presented by him at the last Regular ~eeting, excluding that portion pertaining to the Town Hall rent, be add,ted. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Bowen a~ being put to a vote, the following vote was had thereo~: Commissioner Holloway ~Aye~ Co;~issioner Nutting Not Voting Co~missioner Bowen ~Aye~ The Treasurer was instructed to write the Florida Power smd Light ~omp~ny, pointing out the fact that the Town has no funds with wbXch to psy its bills and notify them of the Commissioners action to have thirty street !i~ats cut off and ask tb~t a Representative of the Florida Power amd Li~ht Comps_ny meet with the ~onmmission to determine what lights would be cut off. The following letter was read by the Treasurer: ~'Js_nuary 19, 1932. To the IIonorable Board of Town Commissioners, Boynton, Florida. Gentlemen: This is to advise that I will accept the past six mo~ths rent owed me by the Town of Boyn-con at the rate of 350.00 per month, in the payment of my Tovm taxes smd also will accept the six months re~t in adv&noe at the same rate smd for the same purpose. Yours very truly, F. N. Broom~ mot o t.bat Mr. Fo N. Brown's proposition be accepted and the Tax Collector be instructed to issue Tax Receipts in the~nount of the rent now owed i~r. Brown and for six months rent in advance on the Town IIall. This motion was seconded by Commissioner IIolloway and duly carried. A Certificate of Indebtedness to the Florida Power and Light Company was read and the matter was referred to To~_~ Attorney J. It. Adams for his consideration. Upon motion of Commissioner IIolloway the Tax Collector was instructed to accept the face amount of 1929 and 1930 taxes on the E~ of S~ of S~ of SF~ of Section SO mud the East six acres of the NE~ of S~ of SE~ Section 20 owned by M. J. Jermings, waiving all interest smd penalties thereon. Timis motion was seconded by Commissioner Nutting mud duly carried. The Treasurer was instructed to write mud Foamite Industries, it is the desire of the one _now p~s$ due and to are available.
