Upon motion made ~y Commissioner Stevens~ seconded by Commissione~ Bowen and duly carried, the following P~SOIJJTION was passed and adopted: R E S 0 ~ U T I 0 N WHYS, the Town owns One Thousand (1,O00) feet of Six inch second hand cast iron pipe and two (2) six inch crosses which is not now cor~uected with the water system of the Town, and, ~HEREAS, Hiller. st Memorial Park, Inc., has ~ffered the sum of T~ee Hundred and Fifty Dol!a~s ($~0.00) for said pipe~ and~ ~EREAS~ the offer of the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Inco~ is deemed to be fair and in line with the market value of such second hand pipe: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED~ by the ~Board of Town rods,ion.rs of the Town of Boynton, Florida, that.~One Thousand (1,000) feet of six inch second hand cast i~on pipe and two (2) six inch orosses be, and the same is hereby ordered sold to the Hiller. st Memorial Park. The Clerk ~tated that he had received ~ form of lease f~om the Florida East Coast Railway and that the Railway Officials had requested him to present same to the Town Commission for thei~ approval; said lease be~ag~for the privilege of maintaining a sign on the Railroad property adjacent to the Highway at the north Corporate Limits of the Town of Boynton. Upon motion made by Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Com- missioner Stevens an~ duly carried, the Clerk was instructed to retur~ the papers to the Florida East Coast Railway Company, with the advice that the Town of Boynton would remove their p~op er t~ the sign from the Conm~ssio~e~ Stevens stated that since the abolishment of Night Watchbands position, the Chief of Police was required to be on duty at all hours of the night in addition to his daily duties and t~h~t some re~mueration should be g~anted ~ for the extra work. Commissioner Bowen made a motion that t~e Ch%cf of Police s~lary be increased f~om Fifty ($50.00) Dollars te Seventy-five ($VS.00~er month, effective August 1st, in con~ld~ga~ion of the extra work required, This motion was seconded by Commissioner Stevens and duly carried. ~ A Resolution to pay claims was adopted.
