RESOLUTION NO. R20-043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A PILOT PROGRAM BY
STAFF, WHEN WARRANTED, TO ASSIST BUSINESSES
DURING TIMES OF EMERGENCY DECLARATION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, in recognition of the restrictions on, and recovery needs of local
restaurants and retail businesses, staff proposes a pilot program for such period of times when
the city, county and state is under certain unique declarations of operation; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared temporary rules to be implemented with the objective
of providing flexibility with certain regulations regarding temporary signage, and outdoor
seating and display of merchandise; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the Business Recovery Support Pilot Program be in
effect for 30 days with the option to extend the Program for 60 -day time periods; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City, of Boynton Beach finds that the
approval of this Pilot Program is, in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens or residents of Boynton Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. , The above referenced whereas clauses. are incorporated herein by
reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves and authorizes the
implementation of a Pilot Program by staff, when warranted, to assist businesses during times
of emergency declaration. A copy of the Pilot Program is attached hereto and incorporated
herein as Exhibit "A".

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
