WHEREAs, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, deems it necessary and advisable for the efficient
operation of the Municipal Planning and Zoning Board to provide
for staggered terms for the members of said Board:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITy OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1_: That the first paragraph of Section 2-4I of
Article V of Chapter 2 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 of
the Charter of Boynton Bsach~ Florida, there is~_ereDy
created a municipal planning and zoning board, ~Vnich
shall consist of Seven (7) members to be appointed by
the City Council. Of the members of the Municipal
Planning and Zoning Board first appointed, three mem-
bers shall hold office for the term of one year and
four members shall hold office for the term of. t~o
years from and after their appointments. Their
SUccessors shall be appointed for the term of two years
from andafuer= the expiration of the terms of their
predecessors ~n office. If a :Vacancy shall occur other-
wise then by expiration of term, it shall be filled by

city council may, in addition~ refer to said board for
consideration and recommendation any general sUbject
matter pertaining to municipal zoning within the city.
~ That the fifth Paragraph of Section 2-41 of
Article V of Chapter 2 of the Codified Ordinances of said City
is hereby amended by deleting the Second sentence, to wit:
"Vacancies in the membership of said board shall be
filled by appointment by the city COUncil.,,
