AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BO~-NTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A GENERAL SERVICES
DEPARTM~NT~ AND PROVIDING FOR SAID DEPART-
MENT TO TJ~CLUDE DIVISIONS OF SANITATION,
SIGN SHOp;~sHOP~D GAP~GE, PARKS, AND STREETS;
DESIGNATING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF GENERAL
SERVICES AS ADMtNISTtAATOR OF SAID DEPARTi~ENT:
PROVIDING FURTHER FOR AU~itORITY TO CODIFY,
SAVINGS CLkUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS~ AN
EFFECTIvE DATE~ AND FOR oTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, t_be City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, deems it necessary and advisable to establish a
General Services Department 'and to provide for said Department
to include the Divisions of Sanitation, Sign Shop, Shop and
Garage~ Parks, and Streets~ and to designate the Superintendent
of General Services as the administrator of said Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY ~IE CITY CO%~NCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEA~, FLORIDA:
Section 1: A General Services Department is hereby
established, and the said Department shall include Divisions of
Sanitation, Sign Shop, Shop and Garage, Parks, and Streets. ~Vne
Superintendent of General Services is hereby designated as
administrator of the said Department, and he shall be assisted
by the Assistant Superintendent of General Services.
Section 2: AUTHORIT~ TO CODIFY: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the
City's existing Code.
Section 3: SEPARABILITY: Each of the provisions of
this Ordinance are separable, including word, clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portions thereof shall be declared invalid~
the remaining portions shall not be affected~ but shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 4: REP~ALI~ PROV~ISIONS: All ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
S_ection 5: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall become
effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
