AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BO~NTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, A~NDING SECTION 23A-3 OF CHAPTER
23A OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY
PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF RATES, FEES
AND OTHER CHARGES FOR THE USE OF THE SERVICES
AND FACILITIES OF THE MUNICIPAL SEWAGE DI~QS~L
S~STEM; PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORITY TO CODIFY,
SA~NGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISION, AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSE~~.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section t: Section 23A-3 (e) of Chapter 23A of the
Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(e)
MULTI-UNITS {MORE THAN TWO) INCLUDING CO-
OPERATIVE, CONDOMINIUM AND RENTAL TYPE
APARTMENTS, WHICH SHALL BE BILLED AS INDlr~
VIDUAL UNITS:
5 fixtures or less
Next 7 Fixtures
Over 12 fixtures
$4.00 per month minimum
0.35 each per month
0.20 each per month
Section 2: Section 23A-3 of Chapter 23A of the Codified
Ordinances of the City 6f Boynton Beach, Florida, be and is
hereby further amended to the extent that the following portion
of said Section 23A-3 immediately following subparagraph (f), to
wit:
"In addition to the rates set forth hereinabove,
it is hereby established a sewer connection charge
which shall be levied against all connections made
to the system later than six months after municipal
sanitary sewer service becomes available to individ-
ual properties in any given area of the city, which
charge shall be computed as follows:
For any 6" connection or less ........... $100.00
For any connection exceeding 6" - ........ 150.00
be amended to r~ad as follows:
"In addition to the rates set forth hereinabove,
it is hereby established a sewer connection charge of
$250,00 which shall be levied against all connections
made to the system later than ninety days after munici-
pal sanitary sewer service becomes available to individ-
ual properties in ~ny given area of the city."
Sgption 3: AUTHORITY TO CODIFY: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate thisOrdiance in the
City's existin9 Code
Section 4:.. S~PARABILITY: Each of the provisions of this
Ordinance ~are separable, including w~rd~ clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be dee~a~ed invalid,
the remaining portion shall n~t be affected but shall remain in
full force and effect.
Section 5: REPEALING PROVISIONS:j Ail ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6: AN EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall become
effective in the rea~Ddler and at the time provided in the Charter
and Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach,
