A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
THE PROPOSAL OF ATLANTIC FILTER
CORPORATION, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ION-
EXCHANGE SOFTENERS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$12,805.00; AUTHORIZING TI-I~ MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID PROPOSAL; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Atlantic Filter Corporation is a sole source provider of ion-exchange
which are currently being used at the East Water Treatment Plant; and
WlqEREAS, the existing ion-exchange softeners at the West Water Treatment
are eight years old and have been repaired slx times over the past year, and need
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynron Beach, Florida,
the proposal of Atlantic Filter Corporation for the purchase of ion-
softeners from Atlantic Filter Corporation in the amount of $12,805.00;
the mayor and city clerk to execute said proposal, a copy of which is attached
Section 2.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.

RE: Proposal--Water Softening System
Dear Dave,
Confirming my recent visit the following as our scope of supply for twin tank
water softening systems. This proposal includes removal and disposal of
existing system and installation, start-up and operator training of a new
system.
The scope of our supply is as follows.
WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM
Two (2) Atlantic Filter Model ATL-SMAGNUMCV2+4TTM Water
Softening Systems;
Systems include:
Two (2) fully automatic 2 inch metered control valve(s);
Metered controllers provide continuous monitoring of time of day, time of
regeneration, water hardness, salt setting amount, tank capacity, regeneration
time remaining and

Two (2) 24" by 72" resin tank containing 10ft of premium grade 8 percent
cross-linked water softening resin,
120 pounds of filtration quality gravel;
One (1) 30 inch x 48 inch round brine tank equipped with safety brine valve;
One (I) pallet water softener salt d01b. bags;
One (1) set operation and maintenance manuals;
Continuous flow rate a 140 gallons per minute;
Peak flow rate 200 gallons per minute peak;
Backwash flow rate 15 gallons per minute per tank;
Rated softening capacity 600,000 grains;
INSTALLATION
· Installation, start-up and operator mining is by AFC;
· Installation will be in 3 inch CPVC Schedule 80 pipe and fittings and in
accordance with recognized plumb'mg codes and standards;
· Existing twin tank softeners, brine tank, and control will be removed and
properly discarded;
· Systems require 110VAC electrical supply, provided by others.
PRICING, TERMS AND DELIVERY
Two (2) Model A TL-SMAGNUMCV2+4TTM Softening Systems $10, 76Z00
One (1)Installation as Specified $ 2,038.00
Six Percent Sales Tax $ 768.30
Total $13,573.30
*Six percent sales will be waived when Federal Tax Exempt Certificate is
provided
Standard AFC terms are 50% deposit and balance upon installation or a
properly authorized purchase order number. Systems may be delivered within
1-2 weeks from receipt of signed acceptance. Allow 1.5 days for installation,
start-up and operator training.
Acceptance -- The above prices, specifications and conditions are satisfactory
and are hereby accepted. Atlantic Filter Corporation is authorized to provide
the system(s) and/or components under the payment terms and conditions
